The Truetrac® is Trachtech’s limited slip differential . This is a helical gear driven differential that automatically provides smooth torque transfer for traction on demand with the chatter of clutch operated locking differentials.
The Truetrac® provides durable and dependable performance with no loss in power and no clutch plates to wear out. Because there are no clutch plates, there is no need to run special lubricant with this locker.
The Truetrac has a high strength case that is approximately twice as strong as a factory open sided case/carrier.
Truetrac limited slip differentials are ideal for street/work trucks and light/medium duty off road use.
During extreme off road use it may be necessary to apply a little break resistance to get the unit to lock up while you have a wheel in the air.
