After 3 years of development, ARB is proud to announce the release
of the biggest, baddest ARB Air Locker ever made, the 2.5 Ton Rockwell.
Found in all three axles of the 1950s-1960s M35 series 6x6 military trucks, the 2.5 Ton Rockwell has been
regarded as the strongest off road axle available. Most vehicles running 2.5 Ton Rockwells usually run no
smaller than a 44” tire. Turning has always been a major challenge, especially when an automatic locker
was the only option. The new RD145, ARB Air Locking unit allows oversized tires to turn with ease and
drivers now have the option to select either locked or open diffs to suit their needs and terrain all at the
flick of a switch.
The RD145 features several new patented features including:
• All new ultra high strength gear geometry offering a vast increase in torque handling over the
original Rockwell gearing
• New patented “timed” locking mechanism offers higher strength lock-up and fast un-locking.
• New steel reinforced, elastomer bonded annular seal designed to handle the most extreme
climactic temperatures on earth
• Comprehensive photo illustrated installation and service guides
